Letter to the Expectant Parents

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me and my family! I hope you're feeling well and that your pregnancy has been easy so far. Even though we haven't met yet, I want you to know how much I respect you for considering an adoption plan.

From the time I was a little girl, I looked forward to the day I would become a mother. I was a late bloomer and didn't realize until 5th grade that sex made a baby! I still thought boys had cooties at that age, so I decided I would adopt one day.

In 2012, I was given the amazing gift of my son Felix through adoption. I traveled to Oregon for his birth and was able to stay in the hospital with him, where I met his birth mom and two of his biological siblings.

I promise to you the same thing I promised to my son's birth mom - a promise I dedicate every day to fulfilling. I will provide your child with a loving home where he or she can grow up near grandparents and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. Your child will be loved unconditionally and nurtured to become a happy, confident individual. We will create many wonderful memories spending time with loved ones, playing with our pets, celebrating holidays, traveling, and enjoying our wonderful Idaho community.

I think adoption is beautiful and I will embrace your child's story. As I do with Felix, we will talk openly about adoption and all the people who love your child and made it possible for him or her to be part of this world. I love being a mom and look forward to the day we welcome another child into our family!

I wish you peace on your journey and welcome any questions you may have. You can email me at chryssareadytoadopt@gmail.com, call me toll free at 1-888-853-7878, or see more photos and info at www.adoptimist.com/chryssa.

Felix, our dog Jayda and me.
